Hammond Enclosure, 180 (L) x 120 (W) x 90mm (H), Die-Cast Aluminium Construction, IP54 Rating - 1590 Series - 1590E

Worried about damage to sensitive components such as circuit boards and sensor heads? Put a lid on them with this enclosure from Hammond. It's made from a corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy that's rugged yet still easy to machine. Lap joints and ribs on the corners and walls boost its strength and provide shielding from interference. Die-casting ensures both box and lid are accurately moulded, so you get a tight fit. This enclosure is unpainted with a smooth and snag-free Vibra finish. It's supplied with six stainless screws to keep the lid secure and contents safe.

Features & Benefits

• Draft angle of 2° means minimal wall tapering, for hassle-free fitting of boards and panels
• IP54 rating means you can trust it to keep dust and splashes of water out
• Countersunk holes improve tamper resistance and provide a flush finish

Applications

• Communications industry
• Audio equipment
• Laboratories
• Instrumentation devices

What's Vibra finishing?

Vibra finishing is a way of deburring metal using a vibrating machine. This gives a smooth surface and rounds off edges, making the enclosure safer to handle. It also achieves a surface that's better for mounting equipment and suitable for coating.
