Matrix worked together with the engineers at Svendborg Brakes, Altra Industrial Motion companies, to design a proprietary friction material engineered specifically to meet the torque, temperature, and energy requirements of servo motor brakes.
Using simulation software, Matrix SMB brakes are designed to optimize the control of magnetic flux to deliver the highest force-to-size ratio possible. All SMB components are manufactured in-house to ensure timely delivery to distributors and customers alike. Easy-to-change flange or rear mounting options, a variety of standard hub options, lean manufacturing, and quick order processing also contribute to a streamlined supply chain.
