RS PRO Spring Steel Cable Rod, Draw Wire
This cable rod from RS PRO is used to guide electrical wires through spaces that are difficult to reach, such as under floorboards and through ceiling ducts. It's made from flexible spring steel which gives it mobility without compromising on its strength.
The cable has brass eyelets on either end for attaching your wire with electrical tape. These eyelets make it particularly useful for pushing wires through or around confined spaces and can also be hooked with an extraction tool to assist in retrieving cables from areas that aren't easy to reach with your hands. The unit is reinforced for additional tunnelling strength.
A cable rod such as this one is also handy for dragging wires through crawl spaces. It's often an essential part of cable management and is found in most electricians' toolboxes. You can grease this component with a protective lubricant to reduce friction and wear on its surface.
