MPT Mini DIN Rail terminal blocks - Phoenix Contact


The MPT series of DIN rail terminal blocks are they miniature versions of the popular PT series from Phoenix Contact. These terminal blocks feature a push-in connection technology for easy wire installation and thanks to a compact design can be mounted on a 15mm DIN rail (NS 15). Clear arrangements are also featured on the terminal block marking all of the terminal points and this is all backed by an ATEX Ex rating meaning you can install this terminal block in potentially explosive areas. The MPT series accept an AWG from 26-12, have a miniature width of just 5.2mm and are made from a strong yet durable grey polyamide material.

Since this block is small, it makes it far easier to wire in confined spaces where you typically would have trouble with a normal terminal block. Because it has no screws and is simply push-in, it makes it effortless to install.

How do I wire a terminal block?


Terminal blocks are simple to wire. Wiring depends on what type of terminal block you have. These specific terminal blocks are push-in technology. All you need to do for these terminal blocks are to crimp a ferrule onto the end of a conductor for the best possible connection. Ensure standards DIN 46228-4 are met when crimping. After your ferrule is on your conductor, simply push in your conductor.
