3M Textool™ Series 2.54mm ZIP DIP Sockets

Textool™ series 2.54mm ZIP DIP sockets which incorporate a lever actuated zero insertion force mechanism to reduce damage to device leads. These Textool ZIP DIP sockets provide a test and burn-in interface for dual in-line packages with a 2.54mm pin spacing and are ideally suited for use in high volume hand testing applications. When used as a test socket at room temperature 24°C these Textool™ DIP sockets willl last for 20,000 actuations

Durability: 20000 actuations (at 24°C)
Temperature range -55 to +105°C

3M ZIP DIP Socket, 2.54mm Pitch, 48 Way - Textool Series - 248-1282-00-0602J

Use this 3M ZIP DIP socket to make quick and easy modifications to PCB components (printed circuit boards). The unit provides a reliable test and burn-in interface for dual in-line packages (DIP) with a 2.54mm pin spacing. It’s a vertically oriented device designed for through-hole mounting for mechanical strength. The lever-actuated zero-force mechanism allows easy insertion and withdrawal without cable damage. DIP sockets like this are ideally suited for use in high-volume hand-testing applications such as programming.

• Beryllium-copper contact material for high electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion and oxidisation• Able to interconnect with a variety of non-standard package formats• Lasts for 20,000 actuations at room temperature (+24°C)• Safe operation at a wide temperature range -55°C to +100°C for versatile use• Extra-wide contact zone lets you insert DIPs with broader spacings

Applications

• Factory automation • Electronics manufacture• Laboratory testing

What's the difference between PCBs and ICs?

An integrated circuit (IC) is soldered onto the printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB is the carrier of the IC. Simply put, an integrated circuit integrates a general-purpose circuit into a single chip.
