Current Sensing Amplifiers, Linear Technology
Linear Technologys family of high-side current sense amplifiers allow current measurements to be made via an external resistor in the presence of high common mode voltages. Both voltage and current output types are available, together with both single and dual package versions.
Current Sensing Amplifiers have a voltage output that is proportional to the volt drop across a very low value resistor, usually in a high-current power rail. Hence they measure the current flowing in that power rail.
