Ölflex Classic 100

ÖLFLEX® Classic 100 cables are a connecting and control cable for flexible use and fixed installation for medium mechanical load.

ÖLFLEX® Classic 100 cables are used as supply and interconnecting cable for controlling machine tools, production lines, control equipment on conveyors, and are also used in computer units. They are suitable for use when freely moved without forced guidance and tensile stress.

They may only be installed outdoors with UV protection and in observation of their operating temperature range. At room temperature the cable is generally resistant against, acids, caustic solutions and certain oils.

Features and Benefits

• Chemical Resistance
• Flame retardant: in accordance to IEC 60 332.1 resp. VDE 0482 part 332-2-1
• Design: in accordance to HD 21.13S1 that is VDE 0281-13
• Minimum bending radius: flexible use 15 x cable diameter, fixed installation 4 x cable diameter
• Tests: in accordance to IEC 60 811 resp. VDE 0472 and VDE 0473
• Operating Temperature for flexible use -5 up to +70°C
• Operating Temperature for fixed installation -40 up to +80°C

Applications

ÖLFLEX® Classic 100 cables can be used in dry, damp and wet rooms, and their resistance to oil and chemicals makes them suitable for specialist environments. As such, they have a wide range of applications, and can often be found in;

• Plant and Engineering
• HVAC Systems
• Power Stations

Their torsion resistance also makes them suitable for torsional applications such as the loop in wind turbine generators.

Accessories

Lapp have a range of versatile cable glands for use in cable installation and management, such as the Skintop Click series of easy-fit glands:

560-678 is an M12 Skintop Click Cable Gland for 3.5-7mm Cable Diameters
475-091 is an M16 Skintop Click Cable Gland for 4.5-10mm Cable Diameters
475-136 is an M20 Skintop Click Cable Gland for 7-13mm Cable Diameters
475-132 is an M25 Skintop Click Cable Gland for 9-17mm Cable Diameters
560-688 is an M32 Skintop Click Cable Gland for 11-21mm Cable Diameters

Standards

This cable confirms to ECD 73/23/EEC (low voltage directive).

LAPP Control Cable, 18A Current Rating, 7.2mm OD - ÖLFLEX CLASSIC Series - 00100654

Use this control cable from LAPP when you need a flexible wiring solution for use with moderate mechanical loads. It has an 18A current rating to support high-power connections, and its 50m length allows unbroken electrical coupling over a long range. The durable PVC sheathing resists oil and chemicals, making this an ideal option for heavy-industrial settings where contamination is likely.

• Low 13.5Ω/km conductor resistance for a reliable electrical connection
• Flame-retardant insulator helps prevent the spread of fire
• Broad operating temperature range between -40°C and +80°C so it's suitable for use in harsh conditions

Applications

• Plant machinery
• HVAC systems
• Power stations
• Wind turbines

Can this control cable be used in damp environments?

Yes, thanks to its non-wicking filler, the component repels moisture away from the core. This means it's safe to expose it to moisture.
