Allen Bradley 100S-C37EJ22C Safety Contactor

The 100S-C37EJ22C Safety Contactor by Allen Bradley ensures reliable and efficient switching to give you optimal performance.

This contactor offers mechanically linked positively guided contacts, which is required in feedback circuits of modern safety applications. The mechanically linked NC auxiliary contacts do not change their state when a power pole welds. It also features gold-plated bifurcated auxiliary contacts which are perfect for low-energy applications. It is highly suitable for feedback control circuits with multiple series-connected NC auxiliary contacts. The auxiliary contacts are front-mounted and the bright red housing ensures quick and easy identification of the safety device. The 100S-C contactors have SUVA Third-Party certification.

The 100S-C37EJ22C Safety Contactor has 3NO power poles and 24 V dc electronic coil voltage. The rated operating current is 37A. It has line side coil termination. The aux contact configuration is 2NO/2NC.

Features and Benefits:

• Positively guided main contacts according to IEC 947-5-1
• It has SUVA Third-Party certification and is RoHS compliant
• Ideal for low-energy applications due to gold-plated bifurcated aux contacts
• Protective cover prevents manual operation, yet the window allows visible on/off status
• Redundant contactors to isolate motor (hazardous motion)
• Wide range of accessories such as surge suppressors, electronic timers, and mechanical interlocks available to meet individual control needs
• Easy to identify due to red contact housings

Note: DC versions incorporate a diode protection circuit.

What is a contactor?

Much like relays, a contactor is an electromagnetic device which is designed to switch electrical current through its contacts. It can switch a larger amount of electrical power than normal relays and can therefore be used for more heavy-duty, larger-scale applications, such as switching several different circuits simultaneously. It can also be controlled remotely and can be used for logic controlling to serve different functions, such as turning on some things at the same time as turning off others. Contactors feature high coil voltages and are able to switch more than 15 amperes, and they also have more input and output options than relays. They are frequently used to control electric motors and lighting systems. They contain a coil or electromagnet which opens or closes the contacts when the electrical current passes through the contactor.

Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, and brings smart manufacturing to life. With a long legacy of creating Allen-Bradley® integrated control and information solutions, we help make you as productive as possible. Our portfolio of sensing, safety and motor control products can support your move towards smart machine applications. Allen-Bradley® IO-Link sensors are data-enabled and communicate with all field buses, providing diagnostic and health information about the device before a machine stops, and enabling quick production changeovers through fast parameter downloads from PLCs into the device. This reduces machine downtime and increases manufacturing OEE. For safety components, products with built-in diagnostics simplify the set-up of the smart device, and reduce maintenance, leading to a more efficient, machine data-driven approach.
