100S-C, 3 Pole Safety Contactors 2N/O & 3N/C

The Bulletin 100S-C safety contactors provide mechanically linked positively guided contacts, required in feedback circuits of modern safety applications. The mechanically linked N.C. auxiliary contacts will not change state when a power pole welds. In addition, the gold-plated bifurcated auxiliary contacts are ideally suited for low-energy applications or feedback control circuits with multiple series-connected N.C. auxiliary contacts.

Redundant contactors to isolate motor (hazardous motion)
Positively guided main contacts
Red contact housings for easy identification as safety device
Protective cover prevents manual operation - yet the window allows visible ON/OFF status

Note

DC versions incorporate a diode protection circuit

Allen Bradley 3-Pole Safety Contactor, 24V DC Coil, 43A - 100S-C43EJ22C

Use this safety contactor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range for optimal protection in your feedback circuits. It has mechanically linked normally closed (NC) contacts that won't change state when a power pole welds. This prevents electric shocks, fire hazards and damage to your equipment. The contactor can function using both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) supply voltages for versatility. Its housing is colour-coded red as a clear indication it's a safety device. You'll find it used on emergency stop buttons and safety gates.

• 3-pole configuration for multi-circuit control• Wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C for use in harsh environments• Protective cover prevents manual operation for enhanced safety• Light-emitting diode (LED) indicator clearly shows ON/OFF status

What's the difference between a contactor and a safety contactor?

A contactor is designed for basic switching controls – this means turning a motor on or off. A safety contactor, on the other hand, detects welds and prevents the normally open contacts from closing when a weld occurs on the normally closed contact. This prevents damage to the circuit and motor.
