Digilent PmodRJ45 Connector Module
The Digilent PmodRJ45 enables long-distance connectivity between devices by providing users with a standard RJ45 (8P8C) port. The Pmod RJ45 connector module can offer an extended wired connection between two different systems. It is shipped as a pair of male and female modules, which enables users to connect the two with an Ethernet cable to communicate via the Ethernet protocol or as GPIO lines. The PmodRJ45 communicates with the host board via the GPIO protocol. Since there are four data wires available, other communication protocols such as UART, SPI or I²C can also be sent through these wires as long as the RJ45 cable is not prohibitively long for the specific protocol to work correctly.
Features and Benefits:
• 6-pin Pmod connector with a GPIO interface
• Male and female connectors for host and peripheral connectivity
• Small PCB size for flexible designs 1.4inx0.8in (3.6cmx2.0cm)
