Siemens End Cap For Use With Busbars 5ST3 7 MCB, 2 and 3 Pole - 5ST3750
Protect the end of live busbars from damage with this end cap from Siemens. The plastic component also acts as an electrical isolator, so it minimises the risk of users experiencing electric shocks. A simple design makes the cap easy to use – just clip it straight onto the end of a busbar. It's also quick to remove without the need for tools and is re-usable, so waste is minimised. Busbar end caps like this are commonly used in industrial electrical distribution boards and switchboards.
Suitable to use with a high operational voltage of up to 690V AC
Light weight of 1.5g so doesn't put strain on a busbar
Prevents dust and airborne contaminants from impairing the function of a busbar

What's a busbar?
A busbar is a thin strip of metal that conducts electricity in a distribution board. It plays a vital role in any electrical power distribution system and is usually made from aluminium or copper. Busbars are particularly useful in transferring large current loads or for distributing current to a number of different devices.

Siemens Distribution Boards & Accessories
Type B characteristic offers instantaneous short circuit response level of 3-5 x normal rated current, making it suitable for circuits with moderate inrush currents such as filament lamps, heating loads and most domestic/small building protection applications.,Type C characteristic offers short circuit response of 5-10 x normal rated current, making it ideal for circuits with higher inrush currents such as motor control and fluorescent lighting installations in industrial buildings where nuisance tripping might occur if a faster type was used.
