Need to limit the flow of electricity in your electrical circuit? This RS PRO wire-wound resistor adds 10 Ω of resistance to your set-up. The component is commonly used in situations where you need to reduce large amounts of power.
This resistor is wire-wound to give it a compact size for its power rating while its aluminium housing adds durability and protects the axle. Pre-drilled screw holes on the base allow you to mount the resistor on a wide range of surfaces.
The component meets the 18546 United States Military Standard (MIL) as a safe and durable resistor. It's also International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 115 compliant, meaning it meets international safety standards for electronic equipment. Wire-wound resistors are frequently used in high power applications, such as x-ray equipment and transducers.
