Eaton Bussmann Series Fast Acting Fuses - KTK

Eaton’s Bussmann series KTK fast-acting supplemental fuses for resistive loads such as control circuits, meter circuits and lighting circuit protection. These cartridge fuses have a melamine tube construction and nickel-plated end caps. For superior protection, Eaton Bussmann recommends upgrading to Low-Peak™ Class CC fuses.

What Speed is it?

These cartridge fuses are “F” speed rated, which is short for Fast Acting. This is also known as fast blow and is popular in general purpose applications. They are designed not to handle current spikes over the rated current.

What size is it?

These cartridge fuses are available in the compact size of 10x38 mm, also known as American Midget style fuses.

What voltage is it?

These cartridge fuses are available with 1 to 30 Amp current ratings for applications where the system voltage rating is 600 Volts AC.

What is Breaking Capacity?

Breaking capacity is the level of current that the fuse can safely handle without exploding or breaking. The breaking capacity of your fuse should be greater than the fault current of your electronic circuit.

What are cartridge fuses used for?

• For the protection of components and equipment from costly damage used by over-current
• To isolate sub-systems from the main system once a fault has appeared

What is an overcurrent?

It is a setting where a circuit experiences a current that is higher than the normal operating current.

Features and benefits

• Color coded black for 600Vac voltage rating
• Fast-acting for resistive loads
• Melamine tube construction
• Nickel-plated endcaps

Eaton Melamine Cartridge Fuse, 100mA, 600V AC KTK1-1/10

Use this cartridge fuse from the Eaton range to protect your electrical circuits from short circuits and overcurrents. It's a fast-acting device that works by interrupting the circuit when a fault occurs, safeguarding it from damage. The fuse's melamine housing is durable and has a high thermal threshold, so it's safe to use with high-voltage applications. With a breaking capacity of 100kA, you can operate this fuse safely within a broad current range. You'll find it used in control circuits as well as to protect lighting systems.

• Fuse speed of F for quick response to faults
• Compact dimensions of 10 (D) x 38mm (L) for space efficiency in confined enclosures
• Nickel plated bronze end caps for effective conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Light weight of 81g, so it's easy to handle and won't strain your setup

Why should I choose a melamine cartridge fuse?

Melamine cartridge fuses like this are made from a strong base material so can be used in applications where a high voltage, as well as an interrupting rating, is needed.
