From Lapp, this Skintop Brush Add-On lock nut is for use with Skintop cable glands, and serves as a lock nut that also provides protection against interference signals.

With a simple screw on design, this easy to assemble lock nut accessory features a brass EMC brush which proves a 360° low resistance screen contact. The lock nut provides EMC-compliant earthing of the copper braiding, or for cables with copper shaft sheath.

The lock nut has a robust nickel-plated brass construction, and as such offers excellent durability and reliability. It can screw onto cable glands in threadless boreholes to provide extra connection security where it is needed.
