Take-up units are often used to “take up” any slackness in conveyor belt systems. A nut is inserted into the slot in the body of the unit, and with a bolt threaded into the nut, drive belt tension can be adjusted accordingly.

RS take-up unit bodies are manufactured from cast iron, with metric bearings.

Take-up units are often used where shaft or belt adjustment/tightening is required, and are often seen installed within conveyor systems. The units may also be installed within food processing environments and used for agricultural equipment applications.
