SKF Bearing Withdrawal Sleeves - AH 3138 G

Need to mount a bearing with a tapered bore onto the cylindrical seat of a stepped shaft? This withdrawal sleeve from SKF can be pushed into the bore of the bearing to reduce the clearance and achieve a tight fit. This makes the job of mounting the bearing quick and easy. It has a bore diameter of 180 mm, with a small taper to an outside diameter of 190 mm, and a 20 mm thread, so it's a versatile choice.

• Allows the bearing to be mounted at any point on the shaft
• Phosphate coating reduces friction and resists corrosion
• Standard metric thread for versatile use

Application Information

• Used with stepped shafts in the automotive industry
• Lathes and other rotating machinery
• Wind turbine equipment

How do I mount a tapered bearing using a withdrawal sleeve?

You can mount it by simply pressing the bearing into the bore of the inner bearing ring, which is located between the bearing and the shaft shoulder.

How do I locate the sleeve on the shaft?

You can use a nut or an end plate such as SKF's KM-series or HM-series lock nuts with locking devices.
