LMx11 family Single Comparators

The LM111, LM211 and LM311 from Texas Instruments are differential input voltage comparators with a wide operating voltage range and 200 ns response time. The inputs of these devices can be isolated from system ground and the uncommitted outputs can drive loads referred to either supply rail or ground. These single comparators are provided with balancing and strobe capability.

The Portwest Dynamic Air Baselayer Top is made from innovative moisture-wicking fabric that repels moisture away from the skin. Featuring contrast stitching and seamless panelling for a modern design, the top is close-fitting for optimal wicking performance and suitable for multi-season use. Made from a shell fabric of 65% polyamide, 28% polypropylene, 5% elastane, and 2% polyester (165g), it keeps the wearer cool, dry, and comfortable during exertion. Suitable for all activity levels, it can be worn as an extra thermal layer for workwear in cold weather or as a technical sports garment for enhanced comfort and performance.

Comparators, Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments’ range of voltage comparators includes not only conventional single, dual and quad comparator packages but also window comparators and over- & under-voltage supervisors.

Although comparators and operational amplifiers are superficially similar devices their operation in practical applications is very different. Op amps are intended for linear operation accompanied by suitable feedback whereas comparators are tailored for rapid switching and generally operated in open-loop mode. Dedicated voltage comparators have significantly shorter propagation delays and are capable of faster response times under saturated conditions. Most comparators are also more tolerant of high differential input voltages and many have open-collector outputs allowing parallel operation with other devices.
