The Microchip 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with SPI serial interface is a successive approximation converter that includes on-board sample and hold circuitry, communicates through a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol, and supports conversion rates of up to 100 kilo samples per second at 5 volts and 50 kilo samples per second at 2.7 volts.
