HiperLCS Family of LLC AC-DC Converters

The Power Integrations HiperLCS family of integrated AC-DC Converters utilise a resonant half bridge LLC topology to implement a high-efficiency offline converter in a compact SIP package. These devices incorporate a multi-function controller, high-side and low-side gate drivers, plus two power MOSFETs in a half-bridge configuration and are suitable for power supply designs of up to 400W. The high level of integration minimizes the external component count and reduces PCB layout area as well as simplifying power supply design.

• High maximum operating frequency of 1 MHz
• Nominal steady-state operation up to 500 kHz
• Programmable brown-in/out thresholds and hysteresis
• Under-voltage and over-voltage protection
• Programmable over-current protection
• Short-circuit protection
• Over-temperature protection
• Programmable soft-start time and delay before soft-start
• Simple single-clip attachment to heat sink
