Ultrasonic cleaners are machines that harness the power of high-frequency sound waves to remove dirt, grease and corrosion from a wide range of objects. Ultrasonic cleaning is a non-destructive method of cleaning, making it ideal for cleaning delicate objects or components. Ultrasonic cleaners are also known as ultrasonic baths or ultrasonic cleaning tanks due to the way in which they work. To clean items, they are placed into the ultrasonic cleaner basket, this is then placed into the bath of liquid, such as water or ultrasonic cleaning fluid. This liquid is then agitated by sonic waves, creating cavitation bubbles which gently dislodge the dirt or other contaminants from the items. You can find out more about how they work in our ultrasonic cleaners guide.
