Norgren Compact Air Bellows
IMI Norgren offer a range of compact air bellows at RS Components to help you optimise your pneumatic system.
Air bellows are perfect for high-load, short-thrust applications which are affected by vibration, such as vehicle suspension, stamping presses, scissor or platform lifts, and reel tensioning. These devices often have 1 – 3 convolutions and are constructed with fabric-reinforced rubber, which has steel end caps on both sides.
What are the advantages of using air bellows?
Air bellows require no maintenance and no lubrication whilst providing smooth operation with minimal friction. These simple devices often have a long service life, are easily installed, and are compact. They benefit from having high tolerance to misalignment in comparison to linear actuators. They can be used with awkwardly shaped loads and heavy equipment.
Norgren's offer of compact air bellows includes the M/31000 and PM/31000 series bellows. The M/31000 units are single-acting bellows which use tough chrome-plated steel end plates with zinc-plated steel studs. Typical applications include: air spring, actuator, vibration isolation. The PM/31000 units are serviceable single-acting air bellows which have an operating pressure of 5.5 bar. Norgren's compact air bellows are ideal for high-force applications and are designed to offer ease-of-installation.
Norgren have a huge portfolio of high-quality pneumatics products to help you create an efficient, safe, and durable pneumatic system. They are known for creating innovative motion control and fluid technology solutions which help enhance productivity in industrial sectors everywhere.
