Red LEDs
A red LED (Light-Emitting Diode) emits light in the red portion of the electromagnetic spectrum with a typical wavelength of between 620 to 750 nanometers. Red LEDs have a wide range of uses including status indicators in electronic devices, digital displays, automotive brake lights, signage and advertising, medical equipment, horticultural lighting systems as well as for simple decorative effect in accent and architectural lighting.
