A privacy screen or privacy filter consists of a thin layer of plastic that is placed over your computer monitor or display panel to prevent people from viewing potentially confidential information from over your shoulder. Privacy screens work by restricting the viewing angle of the device through the use of tiny, polarised blinds or micro louvers that block out light from certain angles. This feature prevents anybody other than the person sitting directly in front of the privacy screen from viewing the data displayed.
