LAPP Cable Gland Adaptors
LAPP cable gland adaptors connect cable-entry devices to pieces of equipment. Whilst cable glands secure cables to pieces of equipment, a cable gland adaptor is sometimes needed to make the gland and the equipment compatible, due to some electrical apparatus being fitted with varying threads. LAPP cable gland adaptors are mainly constructed from nickel plated brass and dependent on the type of adaptor, they can also function as either a reducer or an enlarger. Cable gland adaptors work with the cable glands to ensure that a seal is created, preventing water ingress, as well as ingress from other foreign bodies.
What different types of cable gland adaptors are included in LAPP's range?
- SKINDICHT adaptors – LAPP's range of SKINDICHT adaptors include PG to metric adaptors that are ideal for using metric threaded accessories in PG threads, as well as metric to PG adaptors that are ideal for using PG threaded accessories in metric threads
- SKINDICHT enlargers - LAPP SKINDICHT enlargers enable cable glands to be used with connection threads that are larger than the threaded holes that already exist in machines, devices and housings
- SKINDICHT reducers – LAPP's range of SKINDICHT reducers enable cable glands to be used with connection threads that are smaller than the threaded holes that already exist in machines, devices and housings
What applications are LAPP cable gland adaptors suitable for?
LAPP's cable gland adaptors are ideal for use in all electrical environments, including data cables, instrumentation and electrical machinery applications.
