3M D3000 Series 2.54 x 2.54 mm Shrouded PCB Ejector Headers

The 3M D3000 series PCB through hole mounting wire to board headers feature a double row of square pins in a 2.54 x 2.54 mm pitch. These D3000 series headers are fully shrouded to protect the contacts from damage and have mounting holes for a secure the connection to the PCB.

The ejection latches of these D3000 series PCB headers provide a secure connection to the mating connector and allow easy removal when needed. The design of the ejection latches features roll-pins for increased retention in high vibration applications and to prevent breakage during ejection. Ejection latches are either supplied with the header or require purchasing separately. These D3000 series shrouded PCB headers incorporate a cut-out in the housing to accommodate mating connectors with centre bump polarisation. Extra polarisation slots are also provided to enable quick connection and to minimise misalignment. Military polarisation can also be achieved by using a polarisation key (3M part number N3518).

Versions of these headers are available with housings made from high temperature PCT thermoplastic making them suitable for lead-free solder processing up to 260°C (JEDEC J-STD-020C). Available as right angle or vertical mounting and with various contact numbers these D3000 series headers offer a versatile solution for your wire to board requirements.

Features & Benefits

• 4 wall shrouding for contact protection
• Centre bump polarisation
• Military polarisation possible using N3518 polarising key

• Part numbers prefixed with 'N' have high temperature PCT housings

• Part numbers X3XXX-0 do not have an ejector latch installed

• Part numbers X3XXX-2 have short roll pin latch ejectors

• Part numbers X3XXX-2 have long roll pin latch ejectors

• Ejector latches are available separately

Why choose 3M?

3M are a reliable name in computing and electronic connection. Combined with RS Group's excellent customer service, 3M provides a range of specialist connectivity solutions for a variety of industries and applications.

3M PCB Header, 2.54mm Pitch, Solder Termination - 3000 Series - N3433-6202RB

Connect wires to your circuit board with this PCB header from 3M. Its contacts are made from a gold-plated copper alloy, so you can be sure of a reliable connection. The header has 50 pins arranged in two rows for the well-organised grouping together of multiple connections. These pins are shrouded to make the wire terminations strong and long-lasting.

• Latch and ejector mechanism makes it easy to secure and remove compatible sockets
• Glass-filled polyester shell is flame retardant and resistant to high temperatures
• Designed for through-hole mounting for a secure connection

Applications

• Electronics repair and assembly
• Computing
• Military and defence equipment
• Industrial machinery

Why is there a notch in the centre of this PCB header?

The PCB header has a central notch to ensure it only connects one way into sockets. This prevents incorrect polarisation and potential damage to equipment.
