Methodology The featured countries are the top 40 richest according to GDP. GDP data was taken from the International Monetary Fund’s World Economic Outlook Database and at the time of use (01/02/2018) data was unavailable for Egypt, Pakistan and Syria. Each country’s GDP has been rounded to the nearest $100 million.
