What's the difference between a connector and a connector housing?
A connector has contacts or connection points that transmit either electronic or electrical signals in the form of data or power. A connector housing doesn't have contacts and can't transfer these signals. It only establishes a connection when paired with a connector – that is, the wire and the contacts.
