Product Details
Crydom PCV Series Proportional Power Controllers
Proportional power controllers in the SSR industry standard rectangular "hockey puck" package. Using a simple 2-10Vd.c. power source, voltages of up to 240Va.c. and currents of up to 40A are able to be easily and efficiently controlled. Typical applications include; resistive heating elements, rectified d.c. motors, industrial temperature control, conveyor speed control, light dimming, infrared and quartz heaters.
Internal snubbers as standard
Control circuit requires no calibration
2-10Vd.c. logic compatible input

Sensata | Crydom Solid-State Relay, SCR Output, 8ms Turn-On Time - PCV Series - 10PCV2440
Take your switching to the next level with this solid-state relay from Sensata | Crydom. As it has no moving parts, there's no need to worry about wear and tear. A load current of 40A means this relay is just the thing for use in heavy-duty applications. Its wide operating temperature range of -30°C to +80°C means it can handle the heat in harsh environments. You can use this SSR in applications ranging from light dimming to conveyor belt and heating controls.

How does an SSR work?
An SSR like this one uses semiconductor switching elements, such as thyristors, triacs, diodes and transistors, to control on/off signals, currents or voltages. This means they're more reliable and last longer than electromechanical relays.
