RS PRO Capacitive sensor - Block, PNP Output, 10 mm Detection, IP67, Cable Terminal
This RS PRO capacitive sensor is a proximity sensor you can use to detect metallic and non-metallic objects without physical contact. The sensor uses an electrical field to detect and measure materials that are conductive or have a greater dielectric constant than air.
This unit is made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) to ensure it's strong and resistant to chemicals and heat. It has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP67, which means it's shielded against dust and temporary immersion in water. The sensor also features reverse polarity and short circuit overload protection, so you can be sure your equipment will be protected should something go wrong with the wiring.
