SDRplay RSP2 Radio Spectrum Processor

The SDRplay RSP2 is a powerful, wideband SDR receiver. RSP stands for “Radio Spectrum Processor”. The RSP2 follows on from the previous RSP1 model and offers three antenna inputs, plus new stability and clocking functionalities.
The RSP2 is a fully assembled SDR module, covering all frequencies from 1 kHz (VLF) to 2 GHz (Microwaves), with a huge 10 MHz of spectrum bandwidth visibility and capture capability. It comes in a black plastic housing which is RF shielded. It enables the RSP2 to be both robust and easily portable.
The SDRplay RSP2 comes with “Getting Started” information which contains links to all the information for you to get up and running.

What is it used for?
With its wide coverage, the SDRplay RSP2 provides flexibility in your application of choice. The RSP2 frequency range covers all amateur, broadcast and industrial/scientific/medical (ISM) bands from experimental LF through HF, VHF and UHF. The RSP2 is also the ideal tool for educational use.
You can add up to 16 individual receivers within a 10MHz piece of spectrum (with SDRuno software).

Software:
The RSP2 uses the powerful SDRPlay SDRuno software which is Windows-based. This software, alongside the RSP2, enables you to transform your computer into a general coverage receiver or inexpensive spectrum monitoring device for the RF lab. The RSP2 is software upgradable for future standards too.
The RSP2 can accurately record RF power and noise measurements over time for logging and charting purposes. A documented API allows developers to create new demodulators or applications around the platform.
Alternatively, there are other freely available software types, for example the popular HDSDR, SDR-Console and Linux-based Cubic SDR. For Linux projects and applications, SoapySDR is supported and useful for Raspberry Pi-based implementations.

RSP Versions Available:
RSP1A – An enhanced version of the original RSP1 SDR receiver with one antenna port (RS 150-3954)
RSP2 — SDR receiver with multiple antenna ports and external clocking feature (RS 124-9619)
RSP2pro - RSP2 receiver in a rugged black metal case (RS 125-7958)

Note

The RSP2 is not supplied with the antenna or USB-A to USB-B cable.
