What is an unscreened cable?

The terms unscreened and screened in regards to cables will provide various purposes for the user. The first will be the price. As screened cables offer excellent protection in situations where cables may be trodden on or be bashed around. Unscreened cables however still have the protective PVC sheath over the cores and are still well sheltered from many outcomes, without the price of a screened version.

If a higher frequency is needed, then the screened version will excel within that area. However, if frequency isn't a worry area, then an unscreened version will still provide the application with an excellent performance.

Both unscreened and screened types are still a great option to order. Although if you're looking for a cost effective version, the unscreened would be a perfect choice.

Who uses multi-core cable?

Multicore cable is a type of electrical cable which includes more cores than a standard power or coaxial cable. They can be supplied in various lengths and the number of cores can vary significantly. Commonly used within industrial or entertainment applications, they can keep otherwise messy and disorganised wire connections tidy. The name is self descriptive, in the sense that they would be able to house cores from various types of electrical cable into one sheath, such as coaxial and power. Commonly named within that application as a 'snake cable', mixers, speakers and other audio equipment can essentially have one cable linked up to the device. As opposed to having multiple wires running across the floor. Significantly reducing the possibilities of tripping hazards and other accidents.
