RS PRO Aluminium Sheet

These aluminium sheets from our own RS PRO brand are precision-finished to meet the international standards for tight thickness, tolerance, flatness and dimensional accuracy, sound metallurgical properties for further fabrication. Anodising characteristics and blemish-free surface make these sheets useful in both commercial and general applications. Aluminium sheets are also suitable both inside and outdoor use.

Metal sheets come in various sheet sizes, thickness and materials like aluminium, steel, stainless steel, brass and copper.

RS PRO Aluminium Sheet Metal options include the following sizes:
434-043 - SIC 1050A Aluminium sheet, 300 mm x 200 mm x1.2 mm
434-059 - SIC 1050A Aluminium sheet, 500 mm x 300 mm x 2 mm
178-239 - SIC 1050A Aluminium sheet, 500 mm x 300 mm x 3 mm
183-944 - SIC 1050A Aluminium sheet, 500 mm x 300 mm x 6 mm

Typical Applications:

Metal sheets are suitable for use in a wide range of applications. Construction and fabrication industries are some of the most common uses for metal sheets. Surface dimensions and thickness are the primary factors to consider when looking at options to buy aluminium sheeting. Aluminium sheet metal can be used in industrial and everyday products and can be found in:

• Defence
• Industrial engineering
• Transport – road, rail, air, marine
• Building and construction
• Fan blades
• Electrical engineering

What sizes do aluminium sheets come in?
There are a wide variety of aluminium sheet, plate and foil sizes sold around the world. Generally speaking, any aluminium panel between about 0.2 mm to 6.5 mm thick is usually considered an aluminium sheet, whereas thinner gauge products than this would typically be classified and sold as foils. Thicker gauges than 6.5 mm (roughly a quarter of an inch) are most often referred to as aluminium plate.

The right choice for a given application will depend entirely on the degree of flexibility/rigidity required for the sheet to perform its intended function.

RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards; they’re only given the RS PRO Seal of Approval if we’re confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too.
