NeoPixel Shield 5 x 8 RGBW LED Matrix

The Adafruit NeoPixel Shield has 40 super bright LEDs in an 5 x 8 matrix. Each NeoPixel is 'split' with one half being RGB and the other is a white LED. This combined LED enables you to choose any colour or illuminate using with white light. Available in 3 colours of white light – warm white (3000K), neutral white (4500K) and warm white (6000K). This LED matrix shield will fit neatly on top of you Arduino board.

If you need more, then you can also daisy chain NeoMatrix together. For the second shield, connect the DIN connection to the first panel DOUT.

There is a single data line with a timing-specific protocol. Since the protocol is sensitive to timing, it requires a real-time microcontroller such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC or mbed.
