Product Details
Eaton Bussmann Series Anti Surge (T) HBC – Ceramic Bodied, 5 x 20 mm
Eaton Bussmann anti-surge ceramic cartridge fuses are designed to prevent damage to electrical equipment. These fuses allow an electric current to flow through until the current goes over the fuse's rating then it will blow and stop the flow of electricity. This range of ceramic cartridge fuses is 5 x 20mm with a T speed rating.
Why choose ceramic cartridge fuse?
Ceramic and glass cartridge fuses have similar properties. The capacity of a ceramic cartridge fuse is higher than other fuses, which means that ceramic fuses can be used in circuits that have a higher current rating. They are perfect for protecting against overheating.
What size is it?
5x20 mm is a standard cartridge size and it measures approximately 20 mm long by 5 mm in diameter. They are popular in board and panel protection and will fit a compatible 5x20 mm fuse holder.
What Speed is it?
This particular fuse is T speed rated which means it is a slow acting fuse, sometimes referred to as anti-surge. It is able to tolerate higher levels for a short period, without shorting. Therefore, if a sudden change occurs, this fuse will not blow immediately. They are suitable for applications where a sudden flow of high current is required.
What voltage is it?
These cartridge fuses are available with 0.5 to 12 Amp current ratings for applications where the system voltage rating is 250 Volts AC.
What is Breaking Capacity?
Breaking capacity is the level of current that the fuse can safely handle without exploding or breaking. The breaking capacity of your fuse should be greater than the fault current of your electronic circuit.
What are cartridge fuses used for?
For the protection of components and equipment from costly damage used by over-current
To isolate sub-systems from the main system once a fault has appeared
What is an overcurrent?
It is a setting where a circuit experiences a current that is higher than the normal operating current.

Eaton Cartridge Fuse, 250V AC Voltage Rating, 10A Current Rating - S505-10-R
Protect your equipment from electrical short circuits and the risk of fire with this cartridge fuse from Eaton. It's a sacrificial device designed to blow and stop current flow to your circuit in the event of an overload or short circuit fault. As a T-speed rated device, it only disconnects when the overcurrent is sustained for a period of time, making it suitable for use with devices like electric motors that need an inrush current to start. You'll find cartridge fuses like this used in manufacturing facilities, as well as for primary circuit protection in commercial appliances, such as LED screens and printers.
Features & Benefits
• Ceramic body has high heat resistance, making it suitable for use in harsh environments
• 250V AC voltage rating for use in low-voltage applications
• Nickel-plated brass end caps are highly conductive to achieve a reliable connection
• Easily mounts on a standard fuse holder or clip, without the need for tools
• 250V AC voltage rating for use in low-voltage applications
