AD823x Heart Rate Monitor Front End

The AD823x devices are integrated signal conditioning blocks for ECG and other biopotential measurement applications. They are designed to extract, amplify and filter small biopotential signals in the presence of noisy conditions, such as those created by motion or remote electrode placement.

• Fully integrated, single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) front-end
• Common-mode rejection ratio: 80dB (dc to 60Hz)
• 2- or 3-electrode configurations
• High signal gain (G = 100) with dc blocking capabilities
• 2-pole adjustable high-pass filter
• Accepts up to ±300mV of half cell potential
• Fast restore feature improves filter settling
• AC/DC leads on/off detection
• Right leg drive (RLD) amplifier
• Integrated reference buffer generates virtual ground
• Uncommitted op amp for optional 3-pole adjustable low-pass filter
• Rail-to-Rail output
• Internal RFI filter
• Shutdown pin
• 8kV human body model (HBM) ESD rating
• Power supply: +2.0V to +3.5Vdc (AD8232), +1.7V to +3.5Vdc (AD8233)
• Quiescent supply current: 170μA (AD8232), 50μA (AD8233)
