RS Components introduces new series of versatile and easy-to-use angle grinders from Bosch

GWX grinders employ vendor’s innovative X-LOCK system, enabling cutting accessories to be easily changed

London, UK, 2 July 2019:

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global multi-channel provider of industrial and electronic products and solutions, has announced availability of a range of Bosch angle grinders offering exceptionally high levels of convenience and ease of use for grinding metal or cutting wood and plastics. Devices now shipping from RS include units from the cordless GWX 18 and the corded GWX 9 ranges.

Due to the employment of Bosch’s innovative X-LOCK two-piece changing system, the GWX range allows users to easily change a grinder accessory with one click, and without any losable parts or additional mounting equipment. This can enable a changing process that is up to five times faster than conventional solutions. A quick change of accessories is also possible with only a low level of force required, even if a disc has jammed.

The system also delivers reliability and safety – for example, directional accessories such as diamond discs cannot be mounted incorrectly. In addition, the active-response system means that users will feel and hear an audible 'click', meaning they can be assured that the chosen accessory is firmly secured to the tool.

The range also provides higher productivity, as rework will not be required from users thanks to the tool’s ability to flat grind without marking or scratching surfaces.

The GWX 18 and GWX 9 units, which are available in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, also deliver high flexibility in terms of investment, as they are fully backwards compatible with a comprehensive range of Bosch accessories available from RS.
