HBE connectors are type tested to 16A, 440Vac, and are available complete in kit form and as individual parts. 6 to 48 way hoods and bases are available, made from rugged aluminium alloy with stove enamelled grey finish Coupled hoods and bases are held securely together by double interlocking levers The inserts are made from Glass reinforced thermoplastic resin, with separate earth termination to shell Screw terminals have wire protection leaves and accept cables up to 2·5 mm2. EPIC H-BE Protective Dust Covers

Provide IP65 protection when fitted to unused plugs or sockets HB types fit cable coupler sockets, surface sockets and panel sockets. HS types for the cable plugs and are fitted with latches so that they can be locked on to the connector A plastic tie is fitted to each cover so that it may be attached to the connector The covers are also suitable for the single hoods and bases listed later in the section Use the compatibility table below to locate the correct cover

A separate earth connection is made through all inserts Cable mounting types include compression glands which will seal circular cables to IP54 and IP65 protection (see technical specification for details) Although of compact physical size this range is also rated to 250Vac working for group C (Industrial)

Assembled connectors are type tested to 35A, 440Vac. Features are as listed for 440Vac 16A Group C connectors but with cable acceptance up to 6.0mm2 wires by screw termination

H-D & H-DD

Assembled connectors are type tested to 10A 250V a.c. and include the following features: High density contact loading gives more power and control connections in smaller shell sizes Machined contacts available to provide reliable interconnection and serviceability. Order contacts separately HD contacts are terminated simply and effectively using a quality 8 point indent crimp tool Coupled connectors have protection rating of IP65 Plug and socket inserts are interchangeable and a separate earth connection is made through all inserts. The earth is connected to metal body shells

H-DD Plug and Socket Inserts
