Peltier module controllers are temperature controllers designed for reversible cooling and heating control of thermoelectric assemblies, depending on current direction. They offer a fast and compact temperature control solutions and are ideal for applications that need precise and accurate temperature control.
How do Peltier module controllers work?
An electrical current passes through a Peltier element and produces active heat. The Peltier module controller generates the current to the correct, pre-set target temperature. One side is attached to a heatsink, the 'object' side of the thermoelectric element can then be cooled or heated in relation to the heatsink. Because of this, a programmable Peltier controller must know the object's temperature to start with.
Choose the right Peltier module controllers
The most important criteria to take into account when choosing Peltier module controllers are the current and voltage ratings, precision and stability characteristics. Other critical factors include its safety features, ease of use, communication, auto-tuning, software, efficiency and the device size.
