To elevate its assembled appearance, black screws are thoughtfully included. Featuring lap joint construction, this design effectively safeguards against dust infiltration and splashing water. Additionally, it enhances EMI/RFI shielding for improved performance. However, it's important to note that the enclosure's water-tight gaskets do not offer shielding capabilities. In addition to this, the lid is securely fastened using stainless steel machine screws, which conveniently secure into pre-tapped holes within the enclosure.

Think inside the box! Hammond 1550 enclosures are crafted with the intention of meeting IP54 standards without the need for a gasket or achieving IP66 with the inclusion of a gasket. Enhanced IP67 gaskets are also an available upgrade. Facilitating effortless P.C. board mounting, the enclosure features a minimal low side wall draft angle of 2 degrees or less. For accurate measurements, it's advised to add an extra 0.16" (4 mm) to the enclosure's depth to account for the lid.
