Green LEDs are a popular colour choice for LEDs and are used in a wide range of applications. They emit a light with a wavelength that is green in colour and goes from approximately 500-570nm on the dominant wavelength scale. This value, given in ‘nm' stands for nanometres.
Green LEDs are often used as status indicators in control panels, PCBs or in traffic lights. They are available in both surface mount (SMD) and through-hole packages with various output intensities. Green LEDs can come with a clear or tinted lens too.
