Yellow LEDs are light emitting diodes which emit a light with a wavelength that is yellow in colour and goes from approximately 570-590nm on the dominant wavelength scale. This value, given in ‘nm' stands for nanometres.
Yellow LEDs are often used as power status indicators in control panels, backlighting for displays and message displays and automotive fog lights. They are available in both surface mount (SMD) and through-hole packages with various output intensities. Yellow LEDs can come with a clear or tinted lens too.
