This ON Semiconductor axial lead rectifier system employs the renowned Schottky barrier principle in a large area metal-to-silicon power diode. This unique product incorporates state-of-the-art geometry features chrome barrier metal, epitaxial construction with oxide passivation and metal overlap contact. This product ideally is used as a rectifier specifically in low-voltage, high-frequency inverters also used in freewheeling diodes and polarity protection diodes.
