The SMD temperature sensor has solder connections at both ends. Size 1206 and its zinc-plated all-round contact capability enable mounting-friendly use on electronic PCBs. Compared with connection-wire versions, the SMD temperature sensor is especially robust and ideal for automatic mounting in mass production. Its impressive characteristics (recognisable in the platinum temperature sensors) such as a standardised nominal value in accordance with DIN, a high level of long-term stability, replacement without readjustment and good reproducibility of electrical characteristics make it suitable for universal applications. Its field of use includes taking surface and ambient temperature measurements on PCBs and temperature compensation.
