What do I need to get started?
You will need a keyboard, a mouse, an SD card with or without NOOBS, a power supply, HDMI or RCA jack (to connect to a screen) and either an ethernet cable or a dongle for internet connection - all available at RS. We also have a constantly expanding range of accessories to give your Pi that extra flavour! These include cases, USB hubs, ethernet cables, dongles, 'how to' books, camera boards and expansion boards.
Note - Pi A+ does not connect to the Internet.
How do I set up my Pi?
Once you are all connected, you will need to install NOOBS which helps set up your Pi. SD cards are available with NOOBS pre-installed or you can download NOOBS from the Raspberry Pi Foundation website onto your SD card. Once you have NOOBS, you can easily install an operating system (no Internet needed!), with the popular choices being;
