Cam Switches are form of electrical switches which allow the user to increase or decrease the resistance created through the contacts varying on which way the device turns- the switch is operated by rotation. Rotary Switches work by rotating around a central rotor and can sometimes be programmed to control multiple contacts by a single switch position.

Cam Switches are found on a wide range of products such as on audio, medical and construction equipment but is also used to control the speed of conveyer belts and step- control of AC/DC drives.
